Smokefree Coordinators

These are health care workers, who may be nurses, whose goal is to champion, foster and promote smokefree lifestyles through the provision, coordination and supporting of activities with each DHB’s smokefree team. They monitor and develop systems and gather feedback to assist each DHB in reaching the Ministry of Health Targets for smoking cessation.

Nurses working within secondary care should consult their coordinator to ensure they are aware of their own internal processes.
